I am an Assistant Professor of Accounting at the University of Texas at Dallas. My research is focused on corporate governance, with an emphasis on proxy advisors, shareholder voting, conflicts of interest, executive compensation, and board of directors. I was born in Brazil, where I received an undergraduate degree in business administration, and a master's degree in finance and accounting. I received my accounting Ph.D. degree from Rice University. I currently teach Managerial Accounting to undergraduates.
